‘Fortunate he who holds all four aces in one hand’. This was Karl Heinz Petersen’s motto, when he established the automation company Sydjysk Servo Spang Sønderborg in 1951.
His expectations were met already within the same year, when the company was assigned to supply the automation for a new co-operative dairy being built in Sønderborg. This assignment came to set off a rapid growth, which led to a restructuring of the company in 1958 - now a limited liability company named Servodan A/S.
Things have gone well for Servodan. The company has gained a solid position in the market for its key products: lighting control, announciating systems and electric automation. Today, Servodan is a medium-sized, international trading and production company with headquarters in Sønderborg, in the south of Jutland, and a part-production with sub-contractors in the Far East.
